Super Smiles for Kids and Teens
The I-19 Pathway™

Always Know What Your Child Needs Next

Most parents are guessing about their child's dental health. The I-19 Pathway™ is one coordinated plan, from your child's first tooth through age 19 — designed by the only pediatric office in north Arkansas that handles prevention, orthodontics, and complex treatment under one roof.

Most parents don't realize what they're missing until it's too late.

Crowded teeth. Crossbites. Airway issues. Cavities between baby teeth. Lip and tongue ties that affect feeding and speech. None of these show up all at once — they develop over years, and by the time they're obvious, treatment is more complex, more expensive, and harder on your child.

The hardest part: most parents didn't know there was something to watch for.

It's not about doing more. It's about doing the right thing at the right age.

A bite that can be guided at age 7 may need surgery at age 17. An airway concern noticed at age 3 changes everything about how the next ten years unfold. Without a plan, that timing is easy to miss.

It's not five checkups a year.

It's a documented pathway your child stays on from their very first visit. At every appointment, three things happen:

  1. 1 We check what's appropriate for their age — not a generic exam.
  2. 2 We document what we found with intraoral photos and clinical notes so the next visit picks up where this one left off.
  3. 3 We tell you what's next — what we'll watch for, when we'll act, what you can do at home.

By the time your child completes the I-19 Pathway, you'll have a year-by-year visual record of their smile's entire development — likely the first one in your family.

The four phases.

Each phase has a specific clinical promise, a specific moment your child is in, and a specific risk we're watching for.

Phase 1

First Smiles

Ages 0–3

The smile starts before they can spell their name.

What we do

Lap exams, eruption tracking, lip and tongue tie screening, white-spot-lesion detection, feeding and habit guidance, fluoride as appropriate.

What you'll feel

Calm. We're teaching you, building your child's comfort with the chair, catching anything early.

What we're catching

Tongue ties affecting feeding and speech. Bottle and sippy-cup decay patterns. Habits that will shape the bite for years.

Phase 2

Big Kid Visits

Ages 4–6

The first big-kid visit.

What we do

Full cleaning, comprehensive exam, first x-rays, sealants on permanent molars, fluoride, brushing conversations directly with your child.

What you'll feel

Proud — and a little surprised. The pirate ship and rope-gym hideout become memories your child asks to come back for.

What we're catching

Decay between baby teeth. Thumb-sucking and oral habits. Eruption timing that flags ortho considerations.

Phase 3

Big Decisions

Ages 7–12

The orthodontic decision window.

What we do

Documented orthodontic evaluation at age 7 for every patient. Jaw growth, crowding, crossbites, airway, panoramic x-rays.

What you'll feel

Clear. If Phase 1 ortho is needed you get a written timing plan. If not, a written reason why we're watching.

What we're catching

Crossbites needing expansion before age 9. Crowding manageable now and surgical later. Airway and breathing issues.

Phase 4

Lasting Smiles

Ages 13–19

The smile they take into adulthood.

What we do

Comprehensive ortho if indicated, wisdom teeth evaluation, real conversations about vaping risk and oral piercings.

What you'll feel

Confident — that the plan you started when they were one year old has done what it was supposed to do.

What we're catching

Wisdom teeth crowding the alignment we just earned. Vaping-related lesions. Decay patterns following them into adult dentistry.

Finally, you can stop wondering if you're missing something.

We tell you exactly where your child is, exactly what's next, and exactly when to start watching for what comes after that. From their first tooth, through every milestone, all the way to the smile they'll take into adulthood.
